Fuse Strips 36V Series - High Current Fuses Automotive Passenger Car from Fuses - Littelfuse
Normally, the ampacity rating of a conductor is a circuit design limit never to be intentionally exceeded, but there is an application where ampacity exceedance is expected: in the case of fuses. A fuse is an electrical safety device built around a conductive strip that is designed to melt and separate in the event of excessive current. Fuses are always connected in series with the component s to be protected from overcurrent, so that when the fuse blows opens it will open the entire circuit and stop current through the component s. A fuse connected in one branch of a parallel circuit , of course, would not affect current through any of the other branches. Normally, the thin piece of fuse wire is contained within a safety sheath to minimize hazards of arc blast if the wire burns open with violent force, as can happen in the case of severe overcurrents.
Where do I connect the LED light strips to within the fuse box?
Hi, I bought these LED strips to put under my dash. Basically it's just a black light strip with 2 wires at the end red and black. It says all I have to do is connect it to any 12v source. So I was going to do that in the power box I am aware that the lights will stay on as long as my car is on.
A power strip also known as an extension block , power board , power bar , plug board , pivot plug , trailing gang , trailing socket , plug bar , trailer lead , multi-socket , multi-box , socket board , super plug , multiple socket , multiple outlet , polysocket and by many other variations is a block of electrical sockets that attaches to the end of a flexible cable typically with a mains plug on the other end , allowing multiple electrical devices to be powered from a single electrical socket. Power strips are often used when many electrical devices are in proximity, such as for audio , video , computer systems, appliances, power tools , and lighting. Power strips often include a circuit breaker to interrupt the electric current in case of an overload or a short circuit. Some power strips provide protection against electrical power surges. Typical housing styles include strip, rack-mount , under-monitor and direct plug-in.
