Comments about Silver Cinemas 8 in Roseville, MI - Cinema Treasures
According to a recent article in the Macomb Daily, parent company Landmark Theatres chose not to renew their lease:. The decades-old Silver Cinemas will close at the end of April as its parent company has chosen not to renew its lease, according to Karl Zarbo, director of operations at Lormax Stern, the company that owns the mall on Gratiot Avenue near Masonic Boulevard. Mall operators are considering another movie chain, a food court or retailer to fill the space now occupied by the eight-screen, discount theater. Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the nearby theaters , including the AMC Star Gratiot 21 in Clinton Township, which is only about two miles away. A quick look at the theaters didn't reveal any that provided budget-priced movies, which is likely what the Macomb Mall theater provided.
