This track comes off his album Kiss Each Other Clean which has a real spot in my heart and a really great acoustic clean vibe to it. The song itself is very simple and uses only 3 chords though they may has kind of complex names and just a simple picking pattern with the right hand. The track is in Drop-D and has a capo on the second fret, putting the song in E. We use a standard C chord shape moved up 2 frets for the first chord Eadd11 and simply lift off our third finger from the root to play the B note.
The song is taken from his studio album 'Our Endless Numbered Days ' which was released in This song isn't too difficult to play and thankfully is only made up of two parts - a verse and a chorus. This is a great one to learn if you're still reasonably new to fingerpicking, as there are no difficult barre chords to deal with and the right hand fingerpicking pattern is the same throughout the whole song.
