Top Beaches in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
Baths of Virgin Gorda - World’s Best Beaches
Virgin Gorda, in the British Virgin Islands , is a relatively long and narrow island with several large sounds and many smaller bays. This makes it an ideal spot for fans of water sports, sailing and beach going. Because all of the beaches on the island are within 25 minutes of one another — in fact, it is around 25 minutes by car from one end of the island to the other — you may think you can just drive around and pick a good one. However, why waste a moment of your precious holiday time looking for the perfect beach?
Virgin Gorda is part of the British Virgin Islands. Since being "discovered" as a tourist destination in the early s, Virgin Gorda is still not over-commercialized. It is reminiscent of Saint John Virgin Islands before the designer shoe and handbag stores arrived. With only a few resorts and a sprinkling of villas, it has a pleasing intimacy. The passengers you meet on the nine-seat plane are likely to show up at the next table at dinner.
I have read….. We husband and I traveled to STJ last summer and loved it. We have a May trip planned with our children 11,8, and 6 and grandparents staying at Casa Bueno. We would love one last hurrah before school starts back probably end of July and are debating between another trip to STJ or Virgin Gorda. Ideally, we would space it out, but schedules just don't allow for travel at other times during the year at this point.
